What the heck is contesting?
As I watch The Prize Winner Of Defiance,Ohio, I gradually learn that this is the art of making ends meet used by mothers in the late 50s.
The movie tells the story of a family of 12, where a very likable mother makes life living for her family, even in the presence of her oppressive husband.
The movie shows many wonderful scenes, such as the joy of the family,when their mother wins yet again another contest. I won't elaborate no more, but I will say that this movie is definitely worth watching. I'm gonna buy the book. ^_^
