I hate watching movies not because I hate them, but because I find it hard to believe watching someone beat the bloody pulp out of waves of goons and survive it all in the end.
But not just because of that, because I like movies with someone turning into bloody pulp too, but the main reason is, there are so many, and I mean maybe millions of action movies, all the same, all the time.
Thats why I'm surprised that there are movies like 'Taken'.
Anyway the reason I watched it in the first place is because I have nothing to do and I have watched all our dvds.
The film starts out showing Liam Neeson(cool guy, although when you see him at the first time you'll be like,"What? Hes the action hero? You've got to be kidding me", or something like that") live a pathetic life. Her wife and daughter left him for a rich bald guy, and yeah, he is pretty much lonely.
One day her daughter came to ask her for permission to go into Paris with her friend, and of course Dad is skeptic about it and doesn't want her to go. At least at first.
Hoping to give her happiness all the time he finally agreed but with conditions.
Upon reaching Paris the daughter with her friend bumped tracks with a man named Peter, and they shared a taxi. The friend, being a typical dumb-blonde, told Peter that they were alone on their apartmend, so Peter told them he would pick them up that night for a party.
Minutes later the daughter and the friend were kidnapped by men, and the father, knowing this, set out to rescue her.
To say more of the movie would be to spoil it, but I assure you, you will be having a great time.

When Strangers Fail To Scare
One sleepy night and I can't fall asleep, I figured that I'll watch a movie so that maybe it can lull me to close my eyes spend the night away in dream land. This such movie is "The Strangers".
Said movie failed to make me sleep.
The trailer on the television made me say like, "Wow, I have got to see that movie. In the theaters, no less." That's how kickass the trailer was. And that music playing over and over? Creepy.
The movie starts out mysteriously, as we slowly learn that the hero boy did'nt get a yes from hero girl after a proposal. So that's why they are acting so weird. Weird too, that a couple could still stay for a night even if the girl did not accept the guys proposal, in an isolated house apparently in the middle of nowhere.
Then suddenly, a lost lady asks for Tamara, whoever she is, maybe she meant "Samara", from the "The Ring" movies. The pair should have been warned by then.
In all stupidity, they followed the instruction manual for "Living in a Technicolor Nightmare" and did not do the logical thing, to stay together, barricade the house, have some wine, and uh.... let's not get there.
Apparently, the "Strangers" is a family of weirdos, straight out of generic land. Wow! The Guy With a Mask Has an Axe!!! Very original!
In the end we have three bodies( one is the bestfriend of the hero boy who died because of a shotgun blast from him from being all nervous) discovered by two Christian boys and the always beautiful Liv Tyler screaming her lungs out in what maybe the scariest part of the film, which is sad to say the only scary part.
If you want to make movies and money out of real life stories, spruce it up, not make it like reality, since no one wants to watch that stuff.
And in the end I fell asleep while thinking how bad that movie is.
THE END.

First Post
This is my first post, and as you can notice, I'm an Andrew Bird Fan. I have named this blog to one of my favorite songs from him, that's "The Naming of Things" for you. Where's the "Last Goodbye" part? If you know your music you'll figure it out, but hey, I won't spoil for everyone.
What got in my mind to name my blog like that?
Nothing!
Hahaha.
Don't even bother trying logic with me.
Anyway the high point of this song is when the instruments go up, they'll dim out to nothingness, and then, WOW, that very cool violin break. Pretty much held up the whole song.
Uh, I tried this blog because Friendster Blogs don't permit music and such to be posted on the pages, unless I think if you pay up for premium, which I'm not doing by the way. Oh, and about Friendster, I have an account there, feel free to check out my site, and if you like maybe we could be friends and such.
